Karpaty Lviv Coach Praises Maccabi Haifa's New Signing Bruninho as Best Player Coached
Maccabi Haifa's new signing, Brazilian midfielder Bruninho, received high praise from Fran Fernandez, coach of Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv, in an interview with Tribuna. Fernandez described Bruninho as a unique and versatile player, calling him the best footballer he has ever coached. He believes Bruninho has exceptional qualities but still lacks full confidence in his abilities, which has prevented him from playing in top European leagues like Spain or Italy. The Spanish coach noted that Bruninho has areas to improve but is confident the player can reach a high level in the coming years.
Fernandez also admitted that Karpaty Lviv is struggling to find a replacement for Bruninho, who left the club to join Maccabi Haifa. Due to the current situation in Ukraine and financial constraints, the club cannot easily sign a player of similar caliber and will need to rely more on team play to compensate.
Additionally, journalist Igor Borbas reported that Georgiy Yermakov is expected to undergo medical tests ahead of a potential transfer to Metalist Kharkiv. If cleared, Yermakov will sign a four-year contract with the Ukrainian club.
