Maccabi Haifa Officially Signs Brazilian Midfielder Bruninho on Three-Year Deal

Maccabi Haifa has officially announced the signing of 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder Bruninho on a three-year contract. The transfer from Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv was finalized after Bruninho passed medical tests and joined the team's training camp. Haifa paid 1.6 million euros for the transfer, and the player will earn 400,000 euros per season.

Bruninho began his career in Brazil with Atletico Mineiro's youth system, making his senior debut in the 2018/19 season. He subsequently played for several top-tier and second-division Brazilian clubs, including Recife, Confiança, Juventude, CRB, Guarani, and Ceará. In September 2024, he moved on loan to Karpaty Lviv before signing permanently. Over two seasons in Ukraine, Bruninho scored 17 goals and provided 8 assists across all competitions.

After signing, Bruninho expressed excitement about joining a major club like Maccabi Haifa and eagerness to meet the fans and help the team achieve its goals. Maccabi Haifa's sporting director, Lior Rafaelov, stated the club had closely monitored Bruninho for a long time, impressed by his professional qualities, and believed he fits the club's style and philosophy.
