Maccabi Haifa Signs Brazilian Midfielder Bruninho Ahead of Hungary Training Camp

Maccabi Haifa has secured the signing of Brazilian midfielder Bruninho, a key addition to a position the club has struggled to fill since the days of Charron Shiri and Dia Saba. The club completed the deal after Bruninho passed medical tests and officially signed his contract. He is expected to join the team’s training camp in Hungary, where he will meet his new teammates for the first time.

Bruninho had previously agreed to terms with Metalist Kharkiv, but the deal fell through due to family pressure, leading him to withdraw. Maccabi Haifa seized the opportunity to re-enter negotiations and finalize the transfer during the summer window. The club expressed satisfaction with the signing, stating, "This was not a simple deal, but there is consensus that he is a player who can significantly upgrade us and deliver numbers from midfield. Expectations are high."

Meanwhile, young midfielder Amit Arzi is expected to leave Maccabi Haifa on loan to Ironi Kiryat Shmona, despite having traveled with the team to the training camp. The club will require a clause ensuring playing time for the promising player. Additionally, the team celebrated the 20th birthday of young winger Iyad Khalaily during a dinner at the camp.
