Maccabi Haifa Begins Training Camp in Hungary Amid Stewart Transfer Request
Maccabi Haifa departed on Tuesday for a ten-day training camp in Hungary ahead of the upcoming season. The team traveled without Brazilian player Brunninho and Jamaican midfielder Trevin Stewart. Brunninho is expected to join the squad in Hungary on Wednesday, while Stewart has requested to join the team late as his representatives seek a transfer deal. Stewart was signed by Haifa just one season ago for 1.5 million euros.
Head coach Barak Bachar expressed enthusiasm about the new season, stating, "It's fun to start something new. We are leaving early for the camp to have time to build the team professionally and tactically. There are young players and new signings expected to join. The goal is to unite everything into a strong team."
The players who traveled for the first phase of the camp include Giorgi Yermakov, Sharif Kiyof, Glen Elvin, Yela Bataiy, Zohar Zasno, Noam Steifman, Pedro, Lissav Issat, Sean Goldberg, Daniel Golani, Kenny Sif, Pierre Corneau, Yarin Levi, Ali Muhammad, Peter Agba, Itai Ehud, Amit Arzi, Eitan Azulai, Yair Mordechai, Navot Ratner, Cedric Don, Manuel Benson, Iyad Khalaily, Liam Lusky, Silva Kani, Adam Grimberg, Guy Melamed, and Niv Gabay.
