Maccabi Haifa Begins Preseason Camp in Hungary Without Stewart, Bronninio Joining Soon
Maccabi Haifa launched a ten-day preseason training camp in Hungary on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming season. The team departed without Jamaican player Trevante Stewart and Brazilian Bronninio. Bronninio is expected to join the squad in Hungary on Wednesday, while Stewart has requested to join the team late as his representatives seek a transfer for him, just one year after Haifa acquired him for 1.5 million euros.
Head coach Barak Bachar expressed enthusiasm about the new season, stating, "It's fun to start something new. We left early for the camp to have time to professionally and tactically integrate the players. We have young and new players joining, and the goal is to build a strong team." The initial group flying to Hungary included players such as Giorgi Yermakov, Sherif Kiyuf, Glen Alwin, Yala Bataiy, Zohar Zasno, Noam Steifman, Pedro, Lisb Issat, Sean Goldberg, Daniel Golani, Kenny Sif, Pierre Corneau, Yarin Levi, Ali Mohammed, Peter Agba, Itay Ehud, Amit Arzi, Eitan Azulai, Yair Mordechai, Navot Ratner, Cedric Don, Manuel Benson, Iyad Halaily, Liam Lusky, Silva Kani, Adam Grimberg, Guy Melamed, and Niv Gabai.
The camp aims to prepare the team tactically and physically for the new season, integrating new signings and young talent into a cohesive unit.
