Maccabi Haifa Signs Brazilian Midfielder Bruninyo in Club's Third-Highest Transfer Deal

After more than six months of negotiations, Maccabi Haifa has secured the signing of 26-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Bruninyo. The club announced on June 28, 2026, that they agreed on his transfer from Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv. The transfer fee paid to Karpaty Lviv reportedly amounts to 1.75 million euros, marking it as the third-highest transfer fee in Maccabi Haifa's history.

Bruninyo is set to earn a salary of 400,000 euros per season and will sign a three-year contract with the Israeli club. He is expected to join the team in the coming days, pending medical examinations, and will participate in the training camp in Hungary. The 1.75-meter tall midfielder had two strong seasons at Karpaty Lviv, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
