Bnei Sakhnin Secures Second Win, Climbs to Eighth Place

Bnei Sakhnin achieved their second victory of the season on Saturday, defeating Hapoel Petah Tikva 2-0. The team celebrated the win in the locker room, with coach Yossi Abuksis and Chairman Khaled Duki dancing with the players. This victory propelled Sakhnin to eighth place in the league standings, five points clear of the relegation zone.

While Sakhnin extended their streak to three consecutive games without conceding a goal, the offensive performance was the highlight of this match. Prior to Saturday's game, Yossi Abuksis's team had scored only three goals in six matches. However, they nearly doubled that tally against Hapoel Petah Tikva with impressive goals from Ahmed Salman and Mathew Cudjoe.

Both star players received praise following the game. "There is a lot of talent in Sakhnin, and we need to know how to use it without fear," one observer noted. "There are attacking players here who have provided significant numbers throughout their careers."

Another player lauded was right-back Leroy Owusu, who has been part of a defense that has not conceded since his arrival. Owusu also contributed an assist in Saturday's match. He is currently considered one of the team's most impactful summer signings, alongside goalkeeper Raul Brlano.
