Workers in Israel are entitled to paid time off on Election Day if they meet tenure requirements, receiving their regular salary without using vacation days. Foreign workers in key sectors like construction and hospitality are excluded from this leave and will receive standard pay for working. Essential services, including some food stores and hospitals, will operate, while police and soldiers have special voting arrangements.

Israeli workers are entitled to a paid day off on Election Day, provided they meet certain tenure requirements. Those who qualify will receive their regular salary for the day without it counting against their vacation days. However, foreign workers in specific sectors, including home care, hotels, catering, construction, agriculture, and industry, are not entitled to a day off. Instead, they will receive their standard pay for working on Election Day.

Several essential services will operate on Election Day, including bakeries, food stores (until 2 PM), hospitals, and other health services that normally function on Saturdays and holidays. Security forces, rescue services, and the court system (for urgent enforcement of election law and immediate arrests between 8 AM and 12 PM) will also be operational.

Soldiers in units with approved early voting will be able to cast their ballots starting October 20th at 10 PM. To facilitate voting for police officers and soldiers, they are permitted to vote at any polling station nationwide by presenting their identification. Soldiers can also vote at any military base, regardless of their permanent posting.
