Two motorcyclists killed in crash near Golani Junction
Two men in their 20s were killed Thursday evening in a crash involving a motorcycle and a private car on Route 65 near Golani Junction in northern Israel. Police and traffic accident investigators arrived at the scene, opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the collision, and began collecting evidence.
Route 65 was closed to traffic in both directions after the accident. MDA said the two riders were found unconscious with no pulse and no breathing, and with severe injuries all over their bodies.
Dr. Omri Gorga, an MDA doctor, and volunteer paramedic Shalva Ben Shabbat, from MDA's motorcycle unit, said they carried out medical checks but could not save the riders.
