Two 25-Year-Old Motorcyclists Killed in Crash Near Golani Interchange
Two 25-year-old motorcycle riders were killed Thursday evening in a collision with a private car on Highway 65 near the Golani Interchange in northern Israel. Medics from Magen David Adom reached the scene and tried to resuscitate them, but they were forced to pronounce both dead at the crash site.
Dr. Omri Gorga, a Magen David Adom doctor, and Shalev Ben Shabbat, a volunteer medic with the Magen David Adom motorcycle unit, said they found the riders unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing, and suffering severe injuries. Gorga said medical checks showed the wounds were so serious that there was nothing left to do except declare their deaths at the scene.
Police and traffic accident investigators are at the site, gathering evidence and examining the circumstances of the crash. Highway 65 has been closed in both directions, and drivers are being told to use alternate routes and follow police instructions.
