25-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Crash Near Kiryat Gat on Route 35
A 25-year-old female motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon in a severe traffic accident on Route 35 near the Kiryat Gat interchange. The collision involved a private vehicle and the motorcycle around 4 p.m. Emergency teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived to find the motorcyclist unconscious and suffering from multiple severe injuries. Despite resuscitation efforts, her death was declared at the scene due to the extent of her injuries.
The driver of the car, a 35-year-old woman, and another female passenger were also injured in the crash. The driver sustained moderate injuries, including leg trauma, while the passenger suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon for further treatment. MDA paramedic Adel Hamias and medic Moshe Oref provided initial care at the scene.
Police traffic division has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine its cause.
