Maccabi Tel Aviv is deep in preparations for next season and on Thursday unveiled its new kit for 2026/27, but Dor Peretz was absent because his contract talks remain unresolved. The club and the midfielder, last season’s captain and the league’s top scorer, still have not reached an agreement on a new deal.
A recent conversation took place between Peretz’s agent, Avi Naimni, and Jack Angelidis, but it did not produce a compromise. According to the report, gaps still remain between the parties, and there is no answer yet on whether Peretz will continue with the team.
The uncertainty comes just as Maccabi is set to leave on Sunday for its training camp. One newcomer who will travel with the squad is Belgian mental coach Ludo Flores, who has been appointed recently.
