Professor Shachar Nevo, a mathematics lecturer at Bar-Ilan University, has been indicted for allegedly planning a murderous terror campaign targeting Arabs and Bedouins across Israel. The indictment, filed by the Central District Prosecutor's Office, claims Nevo devised a plan to establish 12 terror cells to simultaneously carry out a mass killing. The stated goal of this plan, dubbed "Eit" (an acronym for "The People Will Carry Out a Transfer"), was to cause the deaths of hundreds and force the expulsion of the Arab population from Israel and Palestinians from the West Bank.

According to the charges, Nevo began preparations in February 2023 for a plan involving 72 Jewish perpetrators, including himself, divided into 12 cells. These cells were to be armed with handguns, rifles, axes, and hammers, and were intended to launch surprise, simultaneous attacks in mixed cities and Arab towns. The indictment also states that Nevo approached Moshe Feiglin, chairman of the Zehut party, to enlist his support for the plan. When Feiglin did not respond, Nevo allegedly attempted to pressure him with threats.

Nevo also reportedly planned to recruit assistance from within the IDF, including elements that would aid in attacking Arab population centers using the Air Force, Artillery Corps, and Armored Corps. Simultaneously, he intended to broadcast real-time messages on social media and in the press, calling on the public to join the attacks. He estimated that the combined efforts of the cells, military collaborators, and participating civilians would result in mass terror and approximately 600 to 700 Arab and Bedouin deaths, leading to a mass exodus from Israel.

The revelation of Nevo's identity has shocked his neighbors in Petah Tikva, who described him as a pleasant and quiet man. "It's a shock, a real shock," said Ron, a neighbor, expressing the disbelief felt in the quiet street where Nevo lived alone.
