IDF Kills Two Armed Hezbollah Operatives Near Forces, Detains Suspect at Kerem Shalom Crossing
This morning, Wednesday, Givati Reconnaissance Brigade forces operating on the Ali Tahar ridge identified two armed operatives from Hezbollah who posed a threat to IDF troops in the security zone. Immediately after they were spotted, the Air Force and ground forces attacked and killed them to remove the threat.
The IDF said, “The IDF will not allow the terrorist organization Hezbollah to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces, and will continue to act to remove immediate threats.”
Separately in Gaza, earlier on Wednesday IDF forces rushed to the Kerem Shalom crossing after a suspicion that a Hamas operative was present on the Gaza side of the crossing. One unarmed suspect was arrested and handed over for further security questioning, and his details and identity are still being checked.
The army stressed that there was no breach into Israeli territory, and said it remained in contact with the defense officials of the relevant communities throughout the incident.
