Suspected Hamas Operative Detained Near Kerem Shalom Crossing
Israeli forces were dispatched early Thursday to the Kerem Shalom crossing area after suspicions arose that a Hamas militant was present on the Gaza side of the terminal. During the incident, one suspect was detained. According to the military, he was unarmed and was handed over to security forces for further questioning.
The suspect’s identity and the circumstances of the incident are still under investigation. The IDF stressed that there was no breach into Israeli territory.
