  • Chef Moshik Roth opened a new hot dog stand called Franco in Tel Aviv.
  • The stand offers gourmet chicken and veal hot dogs with international toppings.
  • Authentic double-fried Dutch fries are also a featured menu item.
  • Roth previously developed hot dogs for a Dutch supermarket chain.
  • The venture is described as a personal project inspired by his children.

Chef Moshik Roth has opened his first dedicated hot dog stand, named "Franco," located near the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv. The stand offers two types of gourmet hot dogs, chicken and veal, served in a brioche bun with globally inspired toppings. Options include a Korean-style chicken hot dog with pulled meat, gochujang aioli, crispy kohlrabi, sesame, and fried onions, or a veal hot dog with sloppy joe, preserved lemon aioli, fried cauliflower, and herbs. A "Choripan" dish with chimichurri slaw, confit garlic aioli, and toasted almonds is also available for 45 shekels.

Alongside the hot dogs, Franco features authentic double-fried Dutch fries, also priced at 45 shekels. Roth emphasized that the fries are made from fresh, hand-cut potatoes prepared using a traditional Dutch method, involving multiple frying stages for maximum crispiness. He stated, "This is not another frozen fry that is fried on the spot."

This venture marks Roth's return to the hot dog business, having previously collaborated with the HEMA supermarket chain in the Netherlands on developing frankfurters. For this Israeli launch, he partnered with Zoglovec. Roth described the project as both a business opportunity and a personal endeavor, aiming to create a high-quality hot dog that reflects his personal taste and style, inspired by his experiences with his own three children at events and concerts.
