The story in 6 lines · by baba

  • Genesis GV60 Magma, the first model from its performance division, is now available in Israel.
  • The electric SUV is priced at approximately NIS 600,000, significantly higher than the standard GV60.
  • It boasts a 650 hp dual-motor powertrain, achieving 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
  • The vehicle offers a range of 425 km and supports fast charging up to 350 kW.
  • Performance enhancements include an electronic limited-slip differential and adaptive suspension.
  • The GV60 Magma features distinct sporty exterior and interior design elements.

Genesis has officially launched the GV60 Magma in Israel, marking the debut of its performance-oriented Magma division. While based on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the GV60 Magma offers a more refined and luxurious experience.

The Magma division, established two and a half years ago, aims to compete with performance divisions like Mercedes-AMG, BMW M, and Audi RS. The GV60 Magma, the division's first vehicle, is an electric SUV that receives a performance upgrade similar to the Ioniq 5 N, emphasizing sporty handling and impressive performance while maintaining Genesis's focus on daily usability and ride quality.

In Israel, the GV60 Magma is priced at approximately NIS 600,000, which is NIS 170,000 more than the top-tier all-wheel-drive GV60 Sapphire and NIS 190,000 more than the Ioniq 5 N. For this price, buyers receive a dual-motor electric powertrain delivering a combined output of up to 650 horsepower and 80.5 kgfm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 264 km/h. The 84 kWh battery provides a range of 425 km, with fast charging capability up to 350 kW, allowing an 18-minute charge from 10% to 80%.

Enhanced driving dynamics are achieved through an electronic limited-slip rear differential, adaptive suspension with road-scanning technology, and a 20mm lower ride height compared to the standard GV60. The vehicle also features a virtual gear shifting system, a drift mode, launch control, and an upgraded braking system with 400mm front discs and four-piston calipers. An artificial sound function is also included.

Visually, the GV60 Magma distinguishes itself with sporty bumpers, side skirts, a rear spoiler, blacked-out trim, and 21-inch black wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires. Optional matte paint finishes and forged wheels are available. The interior boasts electric sport seats with heating, ventilation, and memory functions, an electrically adjustable steering wheel, and rear seat heating. Upholstery options include leather and suede with orange stitching and accents, orange seatbelts, and aluminum pedals. The cabin features a 27-inch integrated screen for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, displaying unique Magma graphics and performance data. Additional amenities include a head-up display, auto-dimming and heated side mirrors, a rearview video display, 360-degree cameras, wireless charging, an electric tailgate, a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, ambient lighting, acoustic front and rear windshields, and road noise cancellation. The comprehensive safety suite includes 10 airbags, matrix LED lighting, blind-spot detection with intervention, and a sensor-based child reminder system, earning an 8 out of 8 rating from the Ministry of Transport.
