  • It offers up to 650 horsepower and 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
  • The vehicle has a range of 425 km and supports 350 kW fast charging.
  • Key performance upgrades include an electronic LSD and adaptive suspension.
  • The price in Israel is approximately NIS 600,000.

Genesis has launched its high-performance GV60 Magma electric vehicle in Israel, marking a significant step for the brand's dedicated performance division, Magma, which was announced two and a half years ago. Positioned to compete with performance variants from luxury automakers like Mercedes-AMG, BMW M, and Audi RS, the GV60 Magma is an electrified SUV focused on delivering impressive performance and sporty handling while maintaining daily usability and ride quality.

The GV60 Magma is priced at approximately NIS 600,000 in Israel, which is NIS 170,000 more than the top-tier all-wheel-drive GV60 Sapphire model and NIS 190,000 more than the Hyundai Ioniq 5N. This premium price point reflects its enhanced capabilities.

Under the hood, the GV60 Magma features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing a combined output of up to 650 horsepower and 80.5 kgfm of torque, with a 15-second boost function. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 264 km/h. The 84 kWh (80 kWh net) NCM battery provides a range of 425 km and supports ultra-fast charging at up to 350 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in 18 minutes. It also includes features like regenerative braking control via steering wheel paddles and a one-pedal driving mode.

To achieve its sporty character, the GV60 Magma incorporates an electronic limited-slip rear differential, adaptive suspension with road-scanning capabilities, and a 20mm lower ride height compared to the standard GV60. Additional performance enhancements include a virtual gear shifting system, a drift mode, launch control, and an upgraded braking system with 400mm front discs and four-piston calipers. A simulated engine sound feature is also present.

Visually, the GV60 Magma is distinguished by sportier bumpers, side skirts, a rear spoiler, blacked-out trim, 21-inch black wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires, and orange brake calipers. Optional matte paint finishes and forged wheels are available. The interior boasts electric sport seats with heating, ventilation, and memory functions, an electric steering column with memory, heated rear seats, and premium upholstery with orange stitching and accents. The dashboard features a combined 27-inch screen for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, displaying unique Magma graphics and performance data. Notable comfort and convenience features include a head-up display, auto-dimming and heated side mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with video display, 360-degree cameras, wireless charging, an electric tailgate, a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, ambient lighting, acoustic front and rear glass, and road noise cancellation. The vehicle also boasts a comprehensive safety suite, scoring 8 out of 8 in the Ministry of Transport rating, with 10 airbags, matrix LED lighting, blind-spot monitoring with intervention, and a sensor-based child reminder system.
