Israelis Rescued From Ethiopian Conflict Zone
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the successful rescue of Israelis who were stranded in Lalibela, Ethiopia, amid escalating conflict in the region. The ministry stated that after intensive efforts over the past three days, a group of Israelis trapped in the northern Ethiopian city were evacuated by helicopter on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Helicopters transported the group to a secure area, from which they will continue their journey to Addis Ababa. The operation was necessitated by the heightened security tensions in the area, which had left the Israelis stranded.
