Israel Celebrates Sukkot With Nationwide 'Simchat Beit Hashoeva' Events

Across Israel, communities are holding 'Simchat Beit Hashoeva' (Rejoicing of the Water-Drawing) celebrations and Hakafot Shniyot (Second Circuits) as part of the Sukkot holiday festivities. These events, which include music, prayer, and gatherings, are taking place in numerous cities and towns from Wednesday, October 14th, through the end of the holiday.

Jerusalem is hosting major events, including the annual 'Yishayashir' concert at Binyanei Ha'uma featuring Mordechai Ben David and Yoely Dickman's orchestra, and a traditional concert by United Hatzalah at Sultan's Pool with artists like Avraham Fried, Yaakov Shwekey, and Ishay Ribo. Various yeshivas, including Mir, Chevron, and Ohr Yair, are also holding celebrations with renowned singers and musicians.

In Bnei Brak, community gatherings are scheduled, including a special event by 'Sich Emunah' and a 'Paranasa B'Broyt' (Sustenance in Bread) gathering led by the Rebbe of Narell. Other cities like Beitar Illit, Elad, Harish, Netivot, and Rishon LeZion are also hosting Simchat Beit Hashoeva events in synagogues, community centers, and event halls.

Further events are planned in Modi'in Illit, Tiberias, Nahariya, Shorash, Petah Tikva, Rekhasim, Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Lod, Ofakim, Holon, Ashdod, and the town of Nechalim. These celebrations often feature prominent singers, cantors, and orchestras, drawing large crowds to mark the joyous holiday.
