Israel Celebrates Sukkot with Nationwide Joyous Celebrations

Across Israel, communities are marking the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday with a wide array of public celebrations, known as Simchat Beit HaShoeva, and Hakafot Shniyot (second circuits with Torah scrolls) on the evening of Simchat Torah. These events feature prominent singers, musicians, and community leaders, drawing large crowds in cities and towns nationwide.

In Jerusalem, celebrations include the 'Lev Echad' event in Ramot with singers Lipa Shmeltzer and Sharly Green, accompanied by Simcha Abramczyk and his orchestra. A Torah scroll dedication ceremony is scheduled at the Waldorf Astoria hotel, led by Maestro Yoely Dickman. The organization 'Notnim Gav' is organizing a large procession for 50 Torah scholars. Various yeshivas, including Pasken HaDor, Merkaz HaRav, and Brechet Shmuel, are hosting events with live music and Torah study sessions. Chassidic courts like Bialla and Pinsk Karlin are also holding celebrations with guest performers.

Bnei Brak is also a hub of activity, with celebrations at the home of Rabbi Dovid Landau and a central event at the 'Halichot Moshe' synagogue. Other events include a Torah dedication at the 'Shtilei Zaitim' Talmud Torah and gatherings hosted by the Sadigora and Bialla chassidic courts. Yeshivas like 'Beit Midrash Elyon' and 'Chayey Olam' are also participating, with the latter incorporating the commemoration of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.

Modi'in Illit, Beitar Illit, and Beit Shemesh are hosting major Simchat Beit HaShoeva events. Modi'in Illit features celebrations at the 'Chemdat Moshe' yeshiva and the central synagogue 'Heichal Yitzchak'. Beitar Illit's main event is at the Freiman Community Center with singers Shimmy Unger and Naftali Kempa. Beit Shemesh celebrations include events at the Lelov chassidic court and the 'Maharim Dushinsky' Beit Midrash, which will also feature a preparatory lesson for Hoshana Rabbah.

Further celebrations are taking place in Elad, Rakefet, Ashdod, Petah Tikva, Ofakim, Yavne, Netanya, Tel Aviv, Netivot, Sderot, Moshav Beit Meir, Ra'anana, Achisomch, Mitzpe, Tzfat, and Or Yehuda. These events involve renowned singers, orchestras, and community rabbis, reflecting the widespread holiday spirit throughout the country.
