Israel Celebrates Sukkot with Nationwide Rejoicing Events

Across Israel, communities are holding numerous "Simchat Beit Hashoeva" (Rejoicing of the Water Drawing) events and Hakafot Shniyot (Second Circuits) to celebrate Sukkot. These festivities, which began on Sunday, the first day of Chol HaMoed (the intermediate days of the holiday), are taking place in cities and towns nationwide, featuring musical performances, religious leaders, and communal gatherings.

In Bnei Brak, a procession and reception will honor 160 Torah scholars recently released from military prison. The city is hosting a multitude of events at various yeshivas, including Slobodka, Beit Meir, and Karlin, with performances by prominent musicians and singers. Jerusalem will see similar celebrations at Binyanei Ha'uma, featuring Rabbi Shimon Hayoun and Rabbi Mordechai Tzedaka, alongside events at yeshivas like Porat Yosef, Kol Torah, and Da'at Aaron.

Other cities are also joining the celebrations. Modi'in Illit will host events at the Mir Brekfeld yeshiva and others, while Beitar Illit features gatherings at the Atzartei Shlomo and Haran yeshivas. Beit Shemesh is organizing events at the Or Eliezer yeshiva and several congregations. Ashdod will host a reception for Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef at the Knesset Yisrael yeshiva, alongside other celebrations.

Further events are scheduled in Elad, Petah Tikva, Achi'samach, Rehovot, Teveria, Givat Ze'ev, Hadera, Haifa, Ofakim, Tel Aviv, Tzfat, Yavne, Netivot, and other locations. These celebrations underscore the widespread observance and joyous spirit of Sukkot throughout Israel, with many events featuring live orchestras and well-known cantors and singers.
