Elderly Woman Killed in Gaza Envelope Truck Collision
An Israeli woman, approximately 90 years old, was killed on Sunday morning after being struck by a truck on Route 3525 near the community of Bror Chayil in the Gaza Envelope region. The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service received the report at 6:56 AM. Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the pedestrian unconscious with severe, multi-system trauma, without a pulse or breathing. "This is a difficult incident," stated MDA paramedic Einav Yeshayahu. "The pedestrian was lying on the road after being hit by a truck. We performed medical checks and unfortunately had to pronounce her dead at the scene."
The Israel Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the fatal road accident. Officers from the Sderot station and accident investigators from the Negev region attended the scene, managed traffic, and are continuing their investigation.
