President's Sukkot Gathering Welcomes 5,000 Israelis

Approximately 5,000 people visited the President's Sukkot booth in Jerusalem on Tuesday as part of the intermediate days of the holiday. This year's event, themed "Israeli Spirit, A Journey Through Culture and Sports Towards a Shared Israeli Future," was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Sports. Attendees included families from across Israel, new immigrants, individuals with disabilities, and families of soldiers and reservists.

Throughout the day, the President's Residence hosted a variety of cultural and sports activities. Visitors engaged with elements of Israeli cinema, theater, television, and literature, and watched a performance by Mayumana that combined music, rhythm, and movement. A sports complex offered participants a chance to try Paralympic basketball in collaboration with Beit Halochem.

Radio station Kan Gimel broadcast a special program from the President's Residence celebrating its 50th anniversary, featuring performances by Sagiv Cohen and The Revivo Project. President Isaac Herzog stated, "The President's Sukkot booth is the booth of all citizens of Israel. Today we were privileged to host citizens from all over the country, from Dan to Eilat, and from all parts of Israeli society. Diversity is an integral part of Israel's face, and our ability to live together, respect differences, and maintain a sense of partnership and unity is our strength as a people. This is the beautiful people of Israel, and this is the Israeli spirit we seek to strengthen and preserve."
