67-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot Near Kabul in Suspected Homicide
A 67-year-old man was shot dead Tuesday morning on Route 70 near the Kabul Junction in the western Galilee. Magen David Adom teams rushed to the scene but were forced to declare him dead there.
Police were deployed to the area and began searching for suspects involved in the shooting. The police said they opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident and that the suspected background is criminal.
Magen David Adom emergency medic Jamal Abu Rumi said the victim was found unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, with penetrating injuries to his body. "We carried out medical checks, but his condition was critical and we had to pronounce him dead at the scene," he said.
