Raviv Drucker Investigated by Police, Claims He Was Framed

Raviv Drucker, a prominent Israeli journalist and host of the investigative program "HaMakor" on Channel 13, revealed on air that he was investigated by the police on suspicion of using his mobile phone while driving. The investigation followed a published photograph of him holding his phone. Drucker detailed the events leading to his questioning, describing what he perceived as unusually firm and determined behavior from the police investigators.

He recounted being summoned by a detective who insisted he appear in person the next day, refusing his offer to submit a report. Shortly after, another investigator from Jerusalem's traffic division contacted him, attempting to question him about the alleged offense, despite Drucker already being summoned by another unit. Drucker felt the investigator was disappointed that someone else had initiated the process.

Drucker presented himself for the investigation the following day, where he was met by a special team. He refused to answer questions, stating he would not cooperate with what he called a "media spin" and expressed his hope that the police would contact him regarding significant investigative matters, referencing a past investigation into Minister Amichai Eliyahu, rather than a brief phone handling incident.

During his interrogation, news broke on Channel 14 that Drucker was being investigated. After leaving the police station, Drucker vehemently accused the authorities of selective enforcement. He questioned why other public figures, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Minister Miri Regev, had not been similarly summoned for questioning regarding their own alleged infractions. Drucker concluded by directly accusing the police of fabricating a case against him and called for an investigation into the investigators themselves.
