Israeli investigative journalist Raviv Drucker was questioned by police on Monday on suspicion of using a mobile phone while driving. The investigation stems from a video clip that circulated on social media, showing Drucker driving and holding a phone during a conversation. The clip was forwarded to the central unit of the Traffic Division, which subsequently decided to summon him for a formal inquiry.
The Likud party filed a complaint against Drucker, alleging he committed a traffic offense on September 23, 2026, during a broadcast of his investigative program "HaMakor" (The Source). The report focused on Minister Amichai Eliyahu and budget management within his ministry. During the segment, Drucker was seen driving his vehicle.
According to the complaint filed by Likud's attorney, Ilan Bombach, at the 7:58 mark of the broadcast, Drucker is visible with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding a mobile phone while engaged in a conversation with Hanani Yacuti, CEO of the media group "Regah." The complaint included a screenshot of the program showing the incident. Likud's complaint stated, "It is unacceptable for a senior journalist to so disregard criminal law and act as if it does not apply to him."
