Social Media Star Files Complaint Against Journalist for Distracted Driving

Internet personality Yevgeny Zarubinski has filed a complaint with Israeli Police against journalist Raviv Drucker. Zarubinski alleges that Drucker was using his mobile phone while driving, an offense he claims is a dangerous violation of traffic laws.

Zarubinski stated that the footage in question was filmed by Drucker himself and then shared publicly. He emphasized that this situation is different from being caught by another driver or a traffic camera, as Drucker seemingly documented his own alleged offense and disseminated it. Zarubinski expressed concern over what he perceives as a disregard for the law and a poor example set for the public, comparing it to individuals who post videos of themselves breaking laws online.

The footage was reportedly taken from a report Drucker was conducting on Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu. Zarubinski asserted that using a mobile phone while driving is a life-threatening offense that cannot be resolved with a warning. He concluded by stating his expectation that the Israeli Police will enforce the law equally for all citizens.
