Motorcyclist, 19, Dies in Fatal Crash Near Eilat
A 19-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash on Highway 12, near Eilat, on Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred at approximately 5:43 PM between Eilat and the Sayarim Junction. MDA (Magen David Adom) paramedics and EMTs responded to the scene and pronounced the young man dead due to severe, multi-system trauma. "We saw the motorcyclist lying on the side of the road, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, with very severe injuries to his body," said Daniel Kotov, an MDA paramedic. "We performed examinations, but unfortunately, his injuries were significant, and we were left with no choice but to determine his death." Police in the Eilat region have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the fatal road accident. Traffic accident investigators were dispatched to the scene to collect evidence and testimonies, and to direct traffic.
