Motorcyclist, 19, Dies After Crashing on Southern Israel Highway
A 19-year-old motorcyclist died Tuesday afternoon on Highway 12, between Eilat and the Sayarim Junction, after his motorcycle skidded. MDA (Magen David Adom) emergency services received the report at 5:43 PM and arrived to find the rider unconscious with severe injuries. Paramedics attempted resuscitation but were forced to declare him dead at the scene.
Earlier Tuesday, a 30-year-old man named Samer Rabah from Dir Hana was killed on Highway 65 near Ilut in the Upper Galilee. He apparently collided with a horse while driving his vehicle. Paramedics also pronounced him dead at the scene.
In a separate incident, a 19-year-old was seriously injured when an ATV overturned in an area near the Palestinian village of Fasa'el. He was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, and police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of that accident.
