Gadi Eisenkot Demands Netanyahu Remove Campaign Video from Air Force Base

Gadi Eisenkot's party, "Yash!", has sent an urgent warning letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party, demanding the immediate removal of a video posted by Netanyahu from an Israel Air Force base. The party insists the video, filmed at the Tel Nof base, be taken down within four hours.

The controversy erupted after Netanyahu released a video from within the military facility, warning the public about a potential attack by Israel's enemies shortly before the upcoming elections. Eisenkot's party views this as crossing a red line, accusing Netanyahu of cynically exploiting IDF facilities and the prestige of the security establishment for personal and political gain.

The warning letter emphasizes that Netanyahu's use of the Air Force base to issue election eve warnings and create alarm is particularly serious and undermines the statehood of the Israel Defense Forces. The party has stated that if the video is not removed within the allotted timeframe, they will pursue legal action and approach the relevant authorities to prevent further use of military resources for campaigning.

Earlier on Tuesday, during a visit to the Tel Nof Air Force base, Netanyahu stated in the video, "There are signs that ahead of the elections our enemies will try to attack us." He added a stern warning, "Don't mess with us, not now and not ever. Our long arm will reach you anywhere, anytime." The video did not specify which adversaries were being referred to or the basis for the warning.
