Gadi Eisenkot's Party Demands Netanyahu Remove Election Video

The "Yash Atid" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, has sent a legal notice to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanding the removal of a video posted on his X account. The video, filmed at the Tel Nof Air Force base, features Netanyahu discussing potential threats ahead of an election.

Yash Atid's attorneys argue that the video constitutes an improper use of public resources for election campaigning and creates the false impression that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are aligned with Netanyahu and the Likud party, violating election law. The party specifically cited a section of the election law that prohibits the use of public assets in election propaganda.

The party has given Netanyahu and the Likud four hours to remove the video from all his accounts and any other controlled platforms. Failure to comply could result in Yash Atid petitioning the Central Elections Committee chairman for an injunction and costs.

Earlier, Yash Atid stated that if Netanyahu's remarks about security threats are accurate, opposition leader Yair Lapid should be immediately briefed to ensure the threat is real and not a political maneuver. The party emphasized that Israel's security should not be mixed with election campaigns, even for appearances.
