Toddler Suffers Severe Hand Injury in Sukkot Sukkah Accident
A two-year-old boy sustained severe injuries to his fingers after inserting them into a fan operating in his family's sukkah in Bnei Brak during the Sukkot holiday. The incident occurred while the family was eating a holiday meal in the sukkah. For reasons not yet fully understood, the toddler managed to place his fingers into the active fan blades, resulting in partial amputation and serious damage to his hand.
Emergency medical services, including teams from United Hatzalah, were dispatched to the scene. Paramedics provided initial treatment, including stopping bleeding and bandaging the injured hand. The child was then transported by intensive care ambulance to Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer for urgent medical attention and treatment for his finger injuries.
