Toddler's Fingers Severed in Fan Accident at Sukkot Celebration
A two-year-old boy suffered partial amputation of his fingers after they became caught in a fan while his family was celebrating the Sukkot holiday in a sukkah in Bnei Brak. The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon during a holiday meal.
Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah responded to the scene and provided initial treatment, including stopping bleeding and bandaging the wounds. The child was then transported to Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer for further medical attention.
Paramedics described the scene, stating, "We were told that during the family's holiday meal in the sukkah, the toddler put his fingers into the fan, and as a result, they were partially severed. We provided him with medical treatment, including stopping bleeding and bandaging, and evacuated him to Sheba Medical Center, where doctors will attempt to reattach his fingers."
