Chain-Reaction Crash on Highway 6 Injures 18
Eighteen people sustained light injuries this morning in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 6, near the Iron Interchange, heading north. The collision involved eight cars.
MDA paramedics and EMTs, who arrived at the scene around 9:42 AM, provided initial medical treatment to the injured. Ten of the casualties were evacuated by the teams to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, while another eight lightly injured individuals were also taken from the scene for further treatment.
Two of the three lanes have since been reopened to traffic. Heavy traffic congestion persists in the area, and police are continuing to manage the scene to regulate traffic and complete their investigation of the accident.
