Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6 Injures 18
A significant traffic accident involving eight vehicles occurred Tuesday morning on Highway 6 northbound, between the Iron and Ein Tut interchanges. Emergency services reported that 18 people sustained injuries, all classified as mild.
Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) provided medical treatment at the scene. Ten of the injured were transported to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, while another eight were evacuated from the site. Police confirmed the involvement of eight vehicles and stated that traffic accident investigators from the Menashe region and the Traffic Division were examining the circumstances of the crash.
In response to the incident, police closed Highway 6 to northbound traffic between the Iron and Ein Tut interchanges to allow for the treatment of the injured, investigation, and vehicle removal. Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes until the road was reopened.
As of the report, two of the three northbound lanes had been reopened, but heavy traffic congestion persisted. Police urged the public to drive patiently, follow officers' instructions, and stay updated on traffic conditions.
