Lebanese outlet Al Jadeed reported that Israel is refusing to transfer a Hezbollah facility found in Majdal Zun in southern Lebanon to the Lebanese Army, and instead intends to blow it up itself. According to the report, the site was seized by the IDF during operations in the area.
The military said it uncovered a significant underground infrastructure complex at the location, along with about 50 drones. In the same operation, roughly 20 Hezbollah militants were killed. No further operational details were provided in the report.
Residents in the area were warned in advance because the planned blast is expected to be extremely powerful. The warning said the explosion could be so strong that it may be equivalent to an earthquake.
