National Insurance Announces October 2026 Payment Schedule for Benefits
The Israeli National Insurance Institute has announced the payment dates for various social benefits for October 2026. Unlike September, which saw shifts due to holidays, October payments will revert to their regular schedule.
Recipients of unemployment benefits and income support will be the first to receive their payments on Monday, October 12. Following them, child benefits, amounting to approximately 169 NIS for the first child, will be disbursed on Tuesday, October 20.
The main payment date for long-term benefits, including general disability, old-age pensions, survivors' benefits, long-term care, and benefits for disabled children, is set for Wednesday, October 28. In 2026, a full general disability pension is valued at 4,711 NIS, while a basic old-age pension for an individual is 1,838 NIS, potentially reaching up to 2,757 NIS with maximum seniority additions.
In addition to benefit payouts, employers, self-employed individuals, and the unemployed must note Thursday, October 15, as the deadline for reporting and paying national insurance and health insurance contributions. This includes the quarterly payment for those not currently employed. The Institute advises timely organization to ensure these reports are submitted on schedule.
