Israel's National Insurance Institute Sets October 2026 Payment Schedule

Israel's National Insurance Institute (Bituah Leumi) has announced the payment schedule for October 2026, returning to its regular cadence after September's holiday-adjusted dates. Residents eligible for benefits and insurance payments can review the updated schedule for October. Unemployment and income support recipients will be the first to receive their monthly payments on Monday, October 12. Subsequently, child benefits, amounting to approximately 169 shekels for the first child, will be disbursed on Tuesday, October 20. Long-term benefit recipients, including those receiving disability, old-age, survivor, care, and disabled child benefits, will receive their payments on Wednesday, October 28. The full monthly disability pension for an individual in 2026 is set at 4711 shekels, while the basic old-age pension is 1838 shekels, potentially reaching 2757 shekels with maximum seniority supplements. Employers, self-employed individuals, and the unemployed have a deadline of Thursday, October 15, for submitting reports and paying contributions to Bituah Leumi and for health insurance. This date also applies to quarterly payments for those not currently employed. Bituah Leumi advises all recipients and insured individuals to prepare in advance to meet these deadlines for payments and reporting.
