IDF Completes Operation in Southern Lebanon's Al-Mansouri

The Israeli military announced the completion of a military operation in the area of the village of Al-Mansouri, located within the security zone in southern Lebanon. During the operation, forces destroyed over 600 "terrorist structures" and eight underground tunnel routes. The military spokesperson stated that troops also discovered dozens of launch pads that had been left in the security zone prior to the ceasefire agreement.

Following the operation, the French News Agency reported hearing loud explosions and seeing thick plumes of smoke rising from the coastal town, much of which has been destroyed. Al-Mansouri is situated approximately nine kilometers south of the city of Tyre and about ten kilometers north of the Israeli border.

The Israeli military had taken control of a portion of the town within the border strip in southern Lebanon when a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon took effect in June. On June 22, the Al-Mansouri municipality informed residents they could return home, while advising them to avoid the section within the security zone. In early August, the military issued evacuation orders for the town before taking full control.
