Israir Adds Four European Destinations for 2027, Tokyo and Miami Flights Pending Approval

Israeli airline Israir announced on Monday, September 28, that it is expanding its flight schedule for the Spring-Summer 2027 season by adding four new European destinations. The new routes will be to Split, Croatia; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Bologna, Italy; and Preveza, Greece. These additions primarily bolster Israir's offerings in Europe and the Mediterranean.

Split is a major coastal city in Croatia's Dalmatia region, serving as a gateway to the Croatian islands. Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is noted for its historic old town, cultural sites, Jewish heritage, and proximity to natural mountain areas. Bologna, the capital of Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, is renowned for its cuisine and central location for regional travel. Preveza, in northwestern Greece, is situated on the Ionian Sea and provides access to the island of Lefkada and the Epirus coastal region.

In addition to the new routes, Israir plans to increase flight frequency to several existing destinations, including New York, London, Basel, Vilnius, Malaga, Zanzibar, Morocco, Dubai, and Baku. The airline will continue to operate a broad range of flights across Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Caucasus, with specific mentions of cities like Rome, Athens, Budapest, and Tbilisi.

However, two previously announced destinations, Tokyo and Miami, are not yet included in the 2027 schedule. Israir stated that flights to these cities are awaiting final regulatory approvals. The airline indicated that once these procedures are completed, the possibility of adding Tokyo and Miami to the schedule will be considered, though no specific launch date has been provided. Israir aims to transport 3 million passengers as part of its broader expansion strategy.
