Israir Airline Adds Four European Destinations for Spring/Summer 2027

Israeli airline Israir has announced an expansion of its flight schedule for the upcoming spring and summer season of 2027, adding four new European destinations. The new routes include Split in Croatia, Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bologna in Italy, and Preveza in Greece. This expansion aims to bolster the airline's presence in Europe and the Mediterranean region.

Split is a major coastal city in Croatia, serving as a gateway to its islands. Sarajevo offers historical sites and natural beauty, while Bologna is renowned for its cuisine and strategic transport links. Preveza, located in northwestern Greece, provides access to the island of Lefkada and the Epirus coast.

In addition to the new routes, Israir will increase flight frequencies on existing popular routes. These include services to New York, London, Basel, Vilnius, Malaga, Zanzibar, Morocco, Dubai, and Baku. The airline will also continue its extensive operations across Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Caucasus, with services to cities like Rome, Berlin, Tbilisi, Larnaca, and Athens.

Two previously announced long-haul destinations, Tokyo and Miami, are not yet included in the spring/summer schedule pending necessary regulatory approvals. Israir stated that these routes will be reconsidered once all permits are secured, though no specific timeline has been provided.

The expansion is part of Israir's broader strategy to increase its overall passenger volume, with a target of carrying three million passengers this season. The airline is working to secure all necessary permits for its planned routes.
