Israel Flags Torn Down in Galilee; Minister Vows Action

Hundreds of Israeli flags, erected by activists from the Religious Zionism party along roads in the Galilee region and near Majd al-Krum, were reportedly torn down by local Arab residents shortly after being placed. The flags were part of a special overnight operation by the party, and the vandalism left only the metal poles standing.

The incident, documented and shared online, sparked outrage on social media and in the political sphere. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich reacted strongly, stating, "I am updating the rioters: the party is over. What we did in Judea and Samaria, we will also do in the Negev and the Galilee. Yes, we will Judaize!".

The Religious Zionism party issued a statement comparing the situation in the Galilee to the events of October 6th on the Gaza border, calling the desecration of Israeli flags within the country a "terrible threat" that must cease. They reiterated their platform to replicate the settlement revolution from Judea and Samaria to the Negev and Galilee in the upcoming term.

This event in the Galilee is part of a pattern of similar incidents across Israel in recent years, including documented cases of Israeli flags being torn down or set ablaze in various locations, such as Jerusalem and the Kiryat Shmuel area, where suspects were previously arrested for similar acts.
