Chief Rabbi Shimon Biton Returns Home After Hospitalization
Rabbi Shimon Biton, the chief rabbi of Beit Shemesh and considered the senior rabbi of Morocco, has returned to his residence in the city. Rabbi Biton was hospitalized last week after falling at his home. He is now recovering in his sukkah, receiving visitors and continuing his rabbinical duties.
Several prominent rabbis have already visited Rabbi Biton to offer blessings and receive them in return, including former Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Shlomo Amar, and Rabbi Yitzchak Dweck. Rabbi Biton, who has served as the chief rabbi of Beit Shemesh for over 40 years, is recognized as the senior among the city rabbis in Israel.
The public is still being asked to pray for Rabbi Shimon ben Mima's complete recovery, along with all the sick in Israel.
