Ben-Gvir Declares Israeli Victory Over Hamas on Temple Mount

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Monday, September 28, during the Sukkot holiday. During his visit, he declared that Israel had achieved victory over Hamas, asserting Israeli sovereignty over the site.

Ben-Gvir referenced the events of October 7, noting that three years had passed since the attack. He stated that while the day brought deep pain to Israel, the country now has the opportunity to mark the changes that have occurred since then. He specifically addressed Hamas, recalling their expectation of victory and their naming of the attack "Al-Aqsa Flood."

According to Ben-Gvir, the situation has changed since October 7, and Israel now controls the Temple Mount. "We are the masters of the Temple Mount! We are the masters of the prisons," he proclaimed. He also highlighted measures taken after the attack, including stricter conditions for terrorists, the distribution of weapons to citizens, and the creation of rapid response teams.

Concluding his remarks, Ben-Gvir expressed confidence that Israel is moving towards "absolute victory" over terrorists and called for the liberation and establishment of Israeli sovereignty on the Temple Mount, emphasizing its significance for the Jewish people. "They wanted to win. We have won over them, first and foremost here, on the Temple Mount," he stated.
