National Security Minister Ben-Gvir Prays at Temple Mount with Yeshiva Students

Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir visited the Temple Mount on Monday, participating in the afternoon prayer service alongside students from the Temple Mount Yeshiva. During the visit, Ben-Gvir spoke with Rabbi Elisha Wolfson, head of the yeshiva, who offered blessings and commented on the significance of the prayer.

Ben-Gvir reflected on the changes he has witnessed at the site, stating, "When I was a child and came up here, it was not possible to pray. Whoever mumbled would be arrested. Thank God, today it is not like that. We are truly seeing redemption. It is very moving to come here today." The minister noted that prayer was not permitted in the past, contrasting it with the current situation where prayer and singing are openly occurring.

Rabbi Wolfson expressed his gratitude to Ben-Gvir, saying, "We prayed so much, and now we merit to see redemption in this place, prostrations, singing and dancing, prayers, and great things still lie ahead for us." He further praised Ben-Gvir's dedication to the Temple Mount, emphasizing that his efforts were significant and not easily achieved. The rabbi concluded by wishing the minister success in his endeavors.
