National Security Minister Ben Gvir Visits Temple Mount on Tisha B'Av, Highlights Progress

On Thursday, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir visited the Temple Mount to mark Tisha B'Av, the Jewish day commemorating the destruction of the Temple. He was accompanied by Minister of the Negev, Galilee, and National Resilience, Itzhak Vissaralof. During the visit, Ben Gvir emphasized the significance of the day while noting substantial progress at the site. "On Tisha B'Av, we mark the destruction, but we also see huge progress on the Temple Mount," he said. "Look at what is happening here, Jews praying and feeling like owners of the place. This has never happened before."

Ben Gvir further highlighted a broader security improvement, stating that terror attacks have decreased by 85 percent. He stressed that across the country, there is a growing recognition that the State of Israel is the rightful owner of the land. He acknowledged that more work remains but expressed confidence in continued advancement, saying, "With God's help, we will move forward."
