Extremist Settlers Attack Palestinian Villages Near Ramallah

Palestinians reported on Monday that extremist settlers set fire to vehicles and spray-painted "Revenge" and Star of David graffiti in the village of Ras Karkar, west of Ramallah. Similar incidents occurred in the nearby village of Deir Abu Mashal, where vehicles were also torched and racist slogans were spray-painted. Among the messages were "Rise, Blood Vengeance" and "From the Happy Jews of Ein Ri'a," apparently referencing Ein Ri'a in the Benjamin region where Natanel Shicron was murdered on Yom Kippur eve.

Reports indicate that settlers also set fire to a tractor and spray-painted racist graffiti in the village of Ras al-Karkar. The perpetrators reportedly fled before security forces arrived, and no arrests have been made so far. The police announced an investigation, with the IDF stating its forces would assist in gathering evidence and testimonies. The IDF condemned such acts, stating they distract from operational activities and undermine stability.

On Sunday, Palestinians reported settler confrontations and attacks in the village of Abu Falah, east of Ramallah. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, vehicles were set ablaze and fireworks were used during the clashes. The police confirmed receiving a report of suspected vehicle arson in the village and opened an investigation.

Mustafa Zaatar, the owner of one of the torched vehicles, recounted that confrontations between village youths and settlers had occurred earlier near a nearby hill. He claimed that settlers, some armed, arrived and fired at the youths who fled towards his home, after which the settlers proceeded to torch vehicles. Zaatar stated that dozens of settlers gathered, some from different directions, before igniting the cars. He added that the youths confronted the settlers, who then fled the scene within ten minutes.
