New Poll Shows Netanyahu Leading Prime Minister Race
A new poll released Sunday by Kan News indicates a positive shift for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, coinciding with his recent UN address. For the first time in two months, Netanyahu has regained the lead in suitability for the premiership. His Likud party also saw a slight increase in support, garnering 21 mandates in the survey.
The poll shows the leading party remains Benny Gantz's National Unity, though it has slightly decreased to 23 mandates. The third-largest party is the "Together" party, currently at 11 mandates.
Other parties' results include Democrats and Yisrael Beiteinu each receiving 9 mandates. Four parties, United Torah Judaism, Shas, Otzma Yehudit, and the Joint List, are each at 7 mandates. Religious Zionism and Zehut are at 6 mandates, as is Ra'am. The "Am Israel" party and the list of Huldai and Zlicha each received 4 mandates.
According to the poll, the two main blocs stand at 52 mandates, excluding Huldai and Zlicha, with Arab parties collectively at 12 mandates.
