Poll Shows Gantz Party Declining, Likud Gaining Ahead of Election

A new poll released by Israel's Kan Broadcasting Corporation on Sunday evening, approximately one month before the 26th Knesset elections, indicates a slight decline for Benny Gantz's National Unity party, which is projected to win 23 seats, down one from the previous survey. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party gained one seat, reaching 21 seats in the poll. Despite the drop, National Unity remains the largest party according to the survey. The poll also showed the "Amcha Israel" party surpassing the electoral threshold. The current coalition bloc is projected to secure 52 seats. In a separate poll focusing solely on residents of the northern region, Likud emerged as the leading party with 24 seats, though the survey suggested a weakening of Netanyahu's bloc in that specific area. The elections are scheduled for October 27, 2026.
